Course orientation
This Europass course has been developed by the Euroguidance centres of Croatia, France, Germany, Latvia, Slovenia and the Europass centres of Croatia and Slovenia.
Objective:
This course aims to provide basic training on the Europass platform as well as tools for career guidance practitioners. Participants of the course are expected to have background knowledge and/or experience in career counselling.
Course load:
The course load is expected to be of 12 hours, with optional additional course material. Quizzes are provided to support the learning process.
Learning outcomes:
At the end of the course, the participant is able to:
- Recognise the purposes for which the Europass tool can be used;
- Identify the parts of the Europass tools and what functions they are used for;
- Create a personal Europass profile, CV and cover letter;
- Identify potential learning and/or work opportunities,
- Advise different client groups about the relevant Europass tools for their needs;
- Support client to develop a personal Europass profile, CV and cover letter, as required.
Target group:
This course is aimed at guidance practitioners in a range of settings.
Expected outcome and added value:
Participants will gain a better insight into and understanding of the various tools provided by the new Europass platform, through first-hand experience of creating a Europass profile, and through various interactive quizzes designed to check progress. The self-guided course is designed to be flexible and self-paced. Anyone interested is welcome to register for the course independently.
Course completion criteria:
The course participant is expected to create a CV in the Europass portal and send a link to a course moderator through the learning platform (Moodle). Upon receipt and satisfactory completion, the course participant will be issued a digital badge.
