Introduction
Lifelong guidance was defined by all members of the European Union in a resolution on 21 November 2008 as "a continuous process enabling citizens at all ages and throughout their lives to identify their abilities, competences and interests, to make decisions about education, training and employment". It is in this context that mobility counselling is taking place.
Mobility counselling covers assistance, information, development and support activities for a mobility project in a lifelong guidance context (study, employment, vocational retraining, etc.).
Mobility counselling must be carried out within the framework of an ethic of neutrality and confidentiality for the benefit of the consultant. It must be credible, efficient, useful, taking into account the reactions and wishes of the stakeholders. The guidance professional in this context must use concise and transparent methodologies that are respectful of the individuals. - Mobility counselling : Theoretical background
